The Talvis of Corellia are a family that have grown rich from capitalizing on opportunity. Known as smugglers and gunrunners in the last days of the Republic, they started out running Trade Federation blockades and moved to ferrying weapons and personell for the Seperatists during the Clone Wars. After the formation of the Empire, they switched sides again - polishing up the business into a shiny, legitimate one, dealing with expensive imports and maintaining a fleet of luxury transport ships. Ferrying nobles, celebrities and the galaxy's upper crust about has yielded greater profits (and other opportunities) than holding a nebulous Kessel Run record. Simone Talvi is of the first generation to have grown up within her family's mostly-legal, status-conscious position. Standing to inherit a substantial amount of credits one day, she's been groomed from early childhood to assume a profitable role in the family company. In addition to various societal etiquette and business training, a lingering interest in interstaller geography and visiting alien worlds has given her a comfortable niche. In her small private transport, she scouts out planets for anything exploitable to a potential client, from exotic local liquors to dangerous native big game. She's spent her entire adult life indulging her Corellian taste for adventure with no intentions of settling down - much to the chagrin of her socialite mother, who wishes her only daughter might marry some Imperial official and cement a few opportunities to climb the galactic political scale.
She might be one of the only one of the lot with anything of a conscience, as well.
Having been in and out of several far-flung planets, and never ceasing to be disgusted with the Empire's ranging degrees of barbarism, particularly towards non-humans. That tingle of moral outrage has yet to do anything beyond simmer - although she keeps a couple of holovids from expeditions that might make it into the 'right hands' to do something about it
