Description/History
An Air Force brat, Emma spent her formative years bouncing from base to base, with summers at her grandparent's ranch outside Tuscon. She read a great deal of H.G. Wells and Jules Verne with Jane Goodall tossed in for flavor. While still in college, she was recruited by Earth Frontier Defense, and spent her vacations "on assignment" in the Himalayas and Siberia until she graduated, taking rock samples and identifying and classifying the area's Reality Deviants. While working a totally thankless job in Northern Africa, she made a few snide watercooler comments about the usefulness of a NWO "mission school" for primitive children, who obviously didn't care to fit into the paradigm. She was rewarded with six months in isolation at an Antarctic research station. She came out of the experience a little wiser, or at least quieter.

She comes back to the States after spending three years in the Amazon Basin with a motley Progenitor-lead research team designed to determine the potential medical usefulness of local flora. The expidition was a great failure, partially because of Syndicate investments in the clear-cut farms, as well as two members of the team meeting with unexplained deaths in the jungle. Upon her return to civilization, Emma put in for an extended leave, to assemble her notes as well as the research of her fallen comrades. :).

Something of a maverick, if only in her willingness to adapt to any task she is given. If she didn't fit the Union's paradigm so well, she would probably be a Dreamspeaker, but she is an extremely good, loyal Technocrat, despite the fact that she maintains a rather odd appearance and eccentric demeanor.
