Ancestors:
Lyubov Hidden-Hand, Kievite (Crescent Moon) Ragabash , 12th c. AD - a sly and clever noblewoman who married into the royal house of Bagratoni in Georgia. Her subtle influence over her Kinfolk husband gave her a solid place in the Georgian royal court. Her cunning and sense of dare proved instrumental in breaking the morale and defense of an Wyrm horde
Pezhman Twilight-Peace, Persian (Wise Heart) Theurge, c 16th c. AD - A contemplative couched Gaian symbolism in Sufi poetry. Beneath the auspices of the Veil, a few of his works survive as treatises advocating spiritual purity and aestheticsm. Among Wise Heart scholars, they exist as cautionary tales against allowing distractions to cloud the mind with taint and falling from one's sacred purpose.

Description/History
Gavrilla's father, Iosif 'Voice-of-Winds' Zghenti, a Silver Fang Galliard, was exiled from the Georgian SSR by two factors working together. A dissident writer who had attracted the eye of the Soviet government, he might still have remained in his country if not for the attentions of House Crescent Moon's mad Tsar Nikolai Ivanovich, who sensed Iosif's Sun Lodge leanings threatening to corrupt the pure, Moon Lodge-oriented territory he'd strived to maintain, and arranged to keep the Moon Dancer where he couldn't stir up trouble. Iosif Zghenti left his mate and family behind in the Caucasus Mountains when he went to Siberia, including his new infant daughter, Gavrilla. She would grow into childhood before she would even know her father.

House Wise Heart envoys protested the treatment, but human politics would resolve the situation before the Garou could. Glasnost and perestroika in the USSR, followed by the dissolving of the Soviet Union conspired to send Iosif home. He came with the Shadow Curtain howling at his heels, managing to return before he was cut off from the rest of the supernatural world.

Gavrilla's mother had tried to raise her right without her mate's influence. Aide from Iosif's packmates from the Aral Sea Caern saved her family from becoming completely destitute. When Iosif returned, he relocated the family closer to the Sept, where they dwelled until the Shadow Curtain claimed both the Caern and her mother's life, as well as triggering her First Change in the battle that ensued. Gavrilla was the only one surprised to find herself a Werewolf - her father and other members of the Sept had been watching her since childhood for signs of the change to come upon her.

Fleeing his homeland with both the memory of a dead mate and a confused teenage cub - settling in a Wise Heart enclave outside of Amman, Jordan, he arranged for his daughter to be educated by another Half-Moon, while he slipped away into Harano and his own dreams.

After adjusting to the great upheval in her life, Gavrilla immersed herself in her heritage with a near-fanatical dedication. She learned the Litany until it was imprinted on her lips - she studied the ways to pick up falsehood or Wyrm-taint on an individual, the proper rites to both laud accomplishments and punish transgressions; and, to round her education, practiced both hand-to-hand combat and the art of klaive dueling, as befitted a Silver Fang cub's education. The time she wasn't learning her auspice roles she spent picking up tidbits of her House's store's of lore and sitting by her father's side, trying to get him to acknowledge her again.

Her Rite of Passage was a solemn, grand affair. Befitting her auspice, she was called upon to mete judgement on two Silent Striders who were unable to to determine who should receive the spoils of a joint endeavour; a fetish uncovered from a hidden desert cache and had come seeking the Sept's mediation. Gavrilla sat in the seat of judgement, with her Philodox mentor listening and her father curled in a corner, seemingly oblivious. She listened to both sides carefully; halfway through her questions, as she turned her head to listen to something her mentor was saying, she caught the faintest essence of Wyrm-taint coming from one of the Striders. A fresh line of questioning quicklt revealed the offender- after sentencing him to be cleansed and rearding the fetish to the non-tainted one, she closed her session with an anecdote of one of the harsh judgements her mortal people used to enact on criminals, and told the protesting tainted Garou he was fortunate they lived in more tolerant times.

The story about knee-deep water, wet camel skins and the Georgian notions of memory and its removal were heard by Voice-of-Wind. He began his journey out of his own depression by suggesting the deed name that stuck with her. Mountain-Memory. When he left Jordan for Istanbul shortly afterwards, she followed at his heels, thrilled to have him back.

The city on the Bosphorous held a lot of wonder for both Iosif and Gavrilla; nominally connected to a multi-tribal Sept there, Gavrilla threw herself into both living within Garou society and reconnecting to the human one with the same fervor that had marked her studies. She ran with a small pack of Black Furies for a time, playing mediator between them and the resident Silver Fangs before she began to grow restless again; dissatisfied with ancient strongholds and looking for a new horizon and a place to carve a name for herself before returning to her family and tradition.

Presently, she is an undergraduate at Washington DC's Georgetown University, pursuing an International Studies degree. Athletic scholarships provide the bulk of her tuition - she plays on the school's girls' soccer team in the fall, swim team in the winter and track and field team in the spring. The rest - and whatever extraneous income she possessed - comes from other grants, on-campus tutoring and sporadic checks from relatives in the Middle East. She prefers to draw aid from her family and Tribe as little as she can, though
