History: When the Harbringers of Exodus were discovered and House Beaumayn condemned, the commoners affiliated with the House were sensented to death and hunted where they went. The Dreaming was large, however, and the mortal world as well, and both were filled with hidey-holes where the followers of Jalandrel could escape notice.

For a clever pooka, valiant warrior against the Thallain that destroyed the dreams of children, finding refuge in an animal shape was the perfect disguise. Beneath a vulpine coat, she slipped about practically under the noses of her Gwydion persecuters until the Shattering, when most old battles were forgotten in favor of the mutual survival of all the Kithain.

She was born again in 1756, the same village she had guarded in her previous existance. The youngest child of a family of Breton farmers, her Chrysalis at age 6, in 1762 did not come originally as a blessing. Her pooka nature did not lend itself well to the industrious peasant's life, and she was often chided for daydreaming and playing tricks. The greatest curse came, however, with her agelessness; after a decade of childhood, her parents were convinced she was possessed by the devil and she ran away, taking refuge with a wandering motley of Kithain performers on their way to Paris.

If her motley noticed her strangeness; that she was somewhat quiet for her Kith, that she seemed troubled by events that had not yet come to pass, they said nothing of it. She found a, if not easy, comfortable life as a performer - an affinity for twirling a staff led to a small act as a child-dancer with the troupe. Eventually, however, the passing of time took its toll on all of them. They were Undone, or died off, and Jacqueline (now calling herself that in favor of the name she had born to, Mevanwi) was left alone. She took to beggins an an urchin in the streets, living off her wits, her innate ability to charm people, and, when she grew desperate, her deft fingers

She attracted the attention of a mortal nobleman during the summer of 1786, while he was returning to his villa in Normandy after paying his respects to the King. Charmed - even after he caught her trying to cut his purse, he took her home with him instead of slitting her throat. She polished silver as penance until the Revolution fell.

She found herself in Paris again during the worst of it, through something close to Providence. An peasant revolutionary woman found the still-childling Jacqueline reminiscent of a sister that had drowned in girlhood, and adopted her, filling her head with stories of how great the world would be once the bourgeoius were overthrown, when the decadent gods of the past were laid to rest.

Jacqueline did not close her eyes the few times she was in the crowd when Mme. Guillotine took off the heads of enemies of the new Republic. Her raving foster-mother she abandoned in the city she had come to call home. A quaint house of Boggans served her as a shelter from the mortal storm around her, and a place to tend her wounds. Her new caretakers were exceedingly patient with her, even when she was given to impulsive acts typical of Pooka, and childlings in general(even if she had existed for over thirty years at this point)

She found a tainted Nightmare-creature feeding off the dreams of the maddened crowd after her escape. A looted shortbow and arrow made, if not short, final work of him and she was glad of the boggans' aid. After things had settled again, she sought out tutelage in the arts of war, finding it in a Satyr woodman. She was given to spending look time in the forest studying the arts of bow and honing her skill with a staff, wintering with her Boggan 'parents.'

Again and again, however, she was forced to deal with the loss of her friends as they succumbed to age. As she grew up, however slowly, she was forced to make new contacts, new friends, and stay to places where the mortals did not notice her agelessness. Time and time again, she watched war come through her lands. At the close of her wilderhood, she served as a courier as the Great War carved trenches through France and filled them with blood. During World War II, she assisted the French Resistance fight against the Nazis along with the Boggans and the rare Scathach Sidhe of the land.

The decades following WWII saw her grow more quiet, and isolated for reasons she would not speak of. The Resurgence did not seem to surprise or move her greatly, until news of the Night of Iron Knives reached the shores of Europe.

Then, she wept tears of despair and rage, and took up arms, letting herself be swept up, if not precisely against the Sidhe, if in defense of the lands they had abandoned.

She left the Kingdom of Neustria shortly after the staunchly monarchal Sidhe took the country, after gravely offending a newly minted Baron before his entire Court.

She settled in the Principality of Jazz in the Kingdom of Willows, basing out of the French Quarter of New Orleans the same activities she had undertaken in her homeland. When the Sidhe of her House returned, she was one of the first to pledge herself to the newly disovered Duke Jeremy and Count Brendan

After all, she had been living a stone's throw away from twenty years.
