Sarah was fourteen when she chased a bottle of her mother's Valium with a bottle of her father's vodka. She'd been hounded by things she couldn't explain and couldn't shut out - wisps of voices, impressions she didn't want. The other sides of people's heads, although it would still be some time before she would be able to identify what it was Fortunately for her, someone called 911 in time. And during all of the routine medical tests and psychological examinations that followed a suicide attempt, a Progenitor researcher noticed some anomalies and passed the word on to a New World Order colleague. The Ivory Tower moved in, securing Sarah's presence in a laboratory for study and development. Her parents thought she was going to a school for gifted, but toubled children. She still calls on holidays. Her handlers didn't know what to write in the reports originally. She seemed to have a raw, instinctive understanding of Cognative Science, however rudimentary, without any of the theories to back it up. Furthermore, her mind seemed to defy scientific applications to discover what had caused the bizarre manifestation. After deciding she wasn't a Superstitionist plant, and after the appropriate indoctrination, they decided to use her, if only to be able to watch her in real action. Sarah's talents lie in information and personell management. Often, she is called on to accompany 'loose cannon' operatives of various Conventions on missions where they may need someone to reign them in situations go bad. She insists on working the the operative for a t least a month before going on a comabat situation, to learn the best way to handle them in such a situation. She comes to Michael Iresan after her recovering from injuries sustained when a subject she was controlling slipped her mental restraints and turned on her. She has yet to fully warm up to the Iterator, although she's requested a slightly longer 'downtime' before anyone authorizes the two of them in combat. Scouting out areas on a remote Pacific island to strengthen the Union's presence, as well as identify any serious Deviant threats was recommended as a good 'safe' operation for her to develop the necessary rapport she will need to be able to ensure Michael carries out the Union's directives as they should be carried out. |
